The Spark Center is located inside the offices for Northwest Neighbors, INC in the Rockton Centre at 3106 N. Rockton Ave, Suite B, in Rockford, Illinois (61103).

Fall 2025

Our Fall 225 programming will be focused on making laser engraving on metal and wood as well as continued efforts on masks and helmets (3D Printers w/PLA) for our Youth classes. We will have a pizza party and open video game time now that school is back in session.

We are looking forward to a year end with gifts and crafts made by Spark Center Youth!

2026 LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

Northwest Neighbors is in the preparation and planning stages for our Summer 2026 Youth Leadership Development Program in Northwest Rockford. We are gathering donors and volunteers as we look forward to another exciting year.

A summer training program including training and work opportunities with:

Community & Youth Violence Prevention and Children’s Safety Training
Community Leaders of the Future Program
Community focus on FRESH WATER and Natural resources in our area.
Community Gardens Tending & Management
Community Volunteering & Leadership with Local Community Food Pantries
Community Technology Access with Spark Center programs

These are paid positions and limited to 10-15 youth chosen from a pool of applicants. Youth will be paid for their time for up to 20 hours a week at a reasonable wage.
